How to strategically prepare for a networking event
When going to a networking event it’s important to prepare properly so you can make the most of your time. It also helps you to feel more confident and comfortable at these events. In this session we will cover the most important steps to follow when preparing for a networking event or having a conversation with someone for the first time. We will teach you how to set your intention for a networking event during a hands on exercise. The purpose of this session is to get over the fear of networking and see it as a tool for getting the career you deserve. You will leave the session feeling empowered to network and with a checklist that you can use to prepare.
-
How to recognise other people’s behavioural archetype in 2min
During this session you will learn about 11 different masculine and feminine behavioural archetypes. Once you’ve identified the archetype you tend to use most, you will practise how to discover the archetypes of other people. We will do this during a speed dating exercise with the other participants. Being able to discover what archetypes other people use will enable you to connect with them on topics of their interest. We will close the session with practical tips on how to strategically network with each of these archetypes.
-
Personal pitch
In this session you will learn how to write a clear personal pitch. Having a personal pitch will enable you to feel more confident when connecting with new people. We will teach you what is important to mention and how to position yourself in your pitch.
You will then write a 5-sentence pitch that you can use during networking andalso when meeting new people. You will be able to practise presenting yourself to the other participants using the personal pitch you developed during the session.
-
Rapport building during networking
Being able to build rapport quickly is an important skill to have when it comes to networking. It enables you to build trust and connections quickly.
We will teach you the techniques needed to build rapport. We focus on physiology, tonality and words. There will also be an interactive exercise so you can practise what you have learnt. By the end of the session you will have the tools needed to build rapport quickly in any situation.
There will also be plenty of time to practice strategic networking during coffee breaks and lunch.
